I recently read this book and then had to re-read it. As a two time breast cancer survivor, I could really identify with the author of this book. Not only did the story of her journey through cancer remind me of my own, it also reminded me of God's guiding light through all of the challenges of breast cancer treatment. I only wished I had this book when I was first diagnosed. It is truly a message of hope and how faith can carry you though anything. Thank you
By Susan Bethany, Reviewer, Midwest Book Review:
Breast cancer can often seem like a death sentence, but more and more women are overcoming the disease. "A Message of Hope: From a 24 Year Cancer Survivor" is Patricia Penn Pierre sharing her story of overcoming her cancer and living her life to the fullest, with a strong message of faith along with it all. "A Message of Hope" is a strong pick for memoir collections focusing on recovering from cancer, highly recommended.

A Message of Hope is a book written for anyone who has been touched by cancer. Patricia Pierre's message is quite encouraging and absolute. Her book tells how she struggled with, came to terms with and dealt with the enormous challenges that were put before her.
The chapters "Early Detection Will Increase Your Chances for Survival" and "Take Action Now!!!" list important information that I can attest too and totally agree with because of my own experience with cancer.
This book will direct you on how to fight for your life and how not to take this disease lying down. Through this book she has shared her experience and wisdom. I encourage you to share this book with family and friends who are dealing with cancer or any adversity; it will give them the strength to carry on.
I am so very proud of her, this is a strong example of what faith, hope, love and courage is all about. "You go Girl!!!"
An absolute MUST READ! Mrs. Pierre shared her journey with breast cancer in a way that brings the reader into the story in a loving positive way. This is the most empowering story of cancer survival, family support, and faith that I have ever read. I recommend this book to WOMEN EVERYWHERE and men who have women in their lives battling any form of cancer.
